About Raphael Perez: underwater videographer & content creator

Born in South Brazil, based in London since 2006, diving since 2017. I film the underwater world at weekends and share everything I learn, so you can do the same.

Hi, I’m Raphael

I was born and raised in South Brazil and moved to London in 2006. My first real taste of scuba diving came in 2017, on a Discover Scuba session in Egypt’s Red Sea. I came up from that dive knowing I wanted more.

I learned to dive properly in the UK in 2018 (cold, green water is a brilliant teacher), went on to do my Divemaster in 2019, and qualified as an instructor in 2020. I worked two seasons as an instructor and realised that teaching Open Water wasn’t quite for me.

That same year I published my first video on YouTube, and underwater photography and videography came to life. In late 2024 I completed TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures, which opened up deeper sites like the WW2 wrecks of Narvik. In 2025 I created my first e-book, and in 2026 I self-published my book on Amazon.

During the week I work in IT. At weekends I’m an underwater photographer, videographer and content creator who wants to show the world how beautiful it is beneath the surface, and help other divers show it too.

“Most divers struggle less with the camera and more with everything around it. That’s what I want to help with.”
